When You're On the Move

Transportation is always a concern when you’re moving to a new area.  You’ll be glad to learn that Manitoulin has an excellent road system that connects via highway 6 to the TransCanada Highway in the North and by ferry to Southern Ontario.

There are two airports on the Island with charter flights available. A new bus service connects several Island communities and major centers on the mainland.  For medical service, both Island hospitals are equipped with landing pads for helicopter ambulance and VON volunteers provide transportation to medical appointments and treatments.
