Arts, Theatre, Music: At Their Best on Manitoulin

The beauty of Manitoulin has always attracted many creative artists and crafts persons. There are studios, galleries, gift shops, museums and trading posts scattered all over the Island, each filled with creative arts and crafts.  You can join an art tour, view an art show, take an art class, or just browse the galleries.

Manitoulin is also home to six First Nations communities who enjoy and promote their heritage and culture through Aboriginal Festivals and Cultural Foundations. There’s ample opportunity to explore and enjoy their rich arts, crafts, theatre, and history.

If you like live music, you can enjoy your choice of classical concerts, folk festivals, country jamborees and summer street bands.  The Café in the Woods keeps music lovers warm in the winter.

The wonderful community and dinner theatre on the island provide even more opportunities to enjoy or get involved in local arts and culture.

The listings on the menu on the right can show you even more detailed information about the thriving arts and culture on Manitoulin Island.
